You all seemed to enjoy my Original What's in My Park Bag post, so I thought I'd do an updated version now that I have a baby in-tow. This may seem dramatic, but a well planned park bag can make or break a long Walt Disney World day. It needs to be both cute and functional, and most importantly, packed with the things you most need!

I've tried so many different products and plans over a LOT of years in the parks. Today I'll share my all-time favorites plus a few new items I'm loving!

All of my top picks are linked in each section.

Disney Park Bag Essentials for Stylish Moms:

Choosing the Best Mom Bag for Disney

  • Key features: lightweight, stylish, comfortable

  • Preppy and practical - this is what I'm shooting for

  • My two favorite options that blend fashion and comfort. You may even want to take one of each.

The Lilly Pulitzer Cooler Backpack has been a favorite of mine for years. I love that it's easily wipeable and is great to keep snacks or lunch cool while in the parks.

And new to me after having Bentley Anne is the Apple of My Isla backpack. This one isn't insulated, and I actually use it as my diaper bag. I love it so much - the whole thing is wipeable and if it's really dirty you can clean it with dish soap and water. It's a great size too - not too big or too small!

What to Pack for Disney – The Must-Haves

  • The essentials every mom needs in her Disney day bag:

    • Park tickets & MagicBands – Easy access for entry. If you don't have a MagicBand, no worries! Just use your phone instead. Tickets can be added to your wallet and use the My Disney Experience app for the rest.

    • Wallet & ID – Minimal but secure

    • Sunglasses & Hat – Classic, stylish sun protection. You will have to take most hats off on the big rides, but it's really nice to have some face shade while walking around in the heat.

    • Portable Phone Charger – Stay connected and capture magical moments. If you use Fuel Rods you'll have access to charging stations in the parks.

    • Water Bottles - Stainless, wide mouth, with a place to clip to stroller is best. Glass bottles cannot be brought into the parks.

    • Stroller Fan – It's hot and humid in Orlando

    • Stroller Hooks to attach diaper bag and water bottles to stroller.

    • Ponchos or Rain Jackets

    • Dry Socks for anyone wearing sneakers. If it rains you'll be glad you have them.

    • Electrolytes to add to waters.

    • Rain Cover for Stroller

    • Mini First Aid Kit – Band-Aids, pain relievers, blister pads

Disney Packing List for Families

Keeping Kids Comfortable and Happy

  • Disney Diaper Bag Must-Haves (if traveling with little ones):

    • Diapers & wipes

    • Extra outfit (for spills, accidents, or wet outfits)

    • Bag of grocery sacks or small trash bags

    • Portable changing pad

    • Snack containers & sippy cups

    • Brush-on Sunscreen

  • For Older Kids:

    • Disney autograph book & pens

    • Lightweight rain ponchos

    • Water Bottles

Stylish & Functional Additions for Mom

  • My Favorite Park Shoes: Tretorns and Hoka Cliftons. I alternate depending on the park. There's usually more walking at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park.

  • Some guests like to wear a belt bag just for phone and any park tickets.

  • I prefer simple stud earrings (gem or pearl). No need to worry about dangling earrings. I also prefer simple, dainty necklaces, because when it's hot and humid, chunky jewelry will stick to you!

Extra Tips for Packing the Perfect Disney Day Bag

  • How to keep your bag organized: I love using mesh pouches to organize bags. You can easily see what you need when you need it.

  • Security-friendly packing tips for quick bag checks: Have all compartments unzipped and ready to be searched.

  • If you're bringing a camera into the parks, hold it away from your body when you go through security. This way they will know what's causing the alarm to go off. It'll save you some time.

Final Thoughts – Making Magic Without the Mess

  • It can seem like a lot, but you want to hit that sweet spot of having what you need without bringing the entire hotel room with you.

  • The list above will help you keep comfortable and stylish all day long!

  • Download the PDF of these lists and let me know what your top items are below!
