Almost every year growing up, we stayed at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort or Disney's Beach Club Resort. My Dad would call Disney’s reservation line, book everything, and off we’d go the first week of May. 🏖️🌸

Our mornings almost always started slower than Dad preferred (even after wake-up calls ending in “Have a Magical Day!” ☎️✨). My brothers would sprint for FastPasses while we hopped in line for our favorite rides. 🎢🎟️

The days never went exactly as planned — but wow, the laughs and memories we made! 💙

Fast forward to today: planning a Walt Disney World vacation is a whole different ballgame. 🏰😅
✔️ Dining reservations
✔️ Lightning Lanes
✔️ Over 25 Disney World resorts
✔️ Finding character meet-and-greets
✔️ Traveling with little ones in tow!

My family has grown over the years, and when I think about planning for almost 20 people now, there’s no way I’d do it without a Disney travel advisor (even if I weren’t one myself! 😜). It’s just so much easier when someone else handles the details, and bonus - sets realistic expectations when needed.

We’ll if this isn’t the real us I don’t know what is! 👨‍👩‍👧

Yesterday was our 5th Wedding Anniversary, and although it looked a little different than we’d imagined 🌴, it was a perfect day! Just the three of us hiking and picnicking at the lake 🐟 Funny, because that’s exactly what we were doing when we were dating 6 years ago!

I wrote this 👇🏻 on our 3rd anniversary and it still holds a special place in my mind. We always just want a few more sweet moments and memories together ❤️

When you first begin dating the person who will become your spouse it’s all exciting. The adventures, the events, and the first everythings. You’re falling in love and moments feel magical.

Engagement comes and all of the celebration that it brings. You get married and begin creating a home, again excited about all the firsts in the first year of marriage. At some point you get caught up in the day-to-days and it seems these dreamy moments are few and far between, so you begin trying to plan for them. I eventually realized though, that these magical moments aren’t usually planned. They just happen in the quiter times as you’re driving somewhere together listening to music, watching a dumb movie that one of you loves, or when you get caught in a rainstorm unexpectedly.

I’m learning to pray not for specific scenarios or that my perfect vision for a celebration becomes reality, but that God, in His timing, would give us a few more magical moments like these because I know that moments He gifts are so much better than any that I could plan.

Here’s to a lifetime more of sweet memories
